Welcome!

Welcome to our writing blog. Here's your first assignment: Be on the look out for a sentence that really grabs your attention. Quote the sentence and cite the source. Write one sentence that clearly explains the power of the sentence you have quoted.  

Here's an example:  "A good writer tells the truth by telling lies" (The Wild Girls by Pat Murphy, p. 161).  I love this sentence because that is the aim of all writing -- to tell the truth, even if that truth is good for only me.

    This is one of my favorite quotes. I think we shouldn't lower or standards or self-worth to be respected in anyway.When we show others we respect ourselves they well too respect us.

    I like this quote because while growing up and even in my early adulthood, I have noticed life doesn't always go by your plans but lives plan. So when things went/go wrong I have to smile and work though it.

    My loved ones and best friend are the most crucial possession for my happiness.

    My I-pod,bed,house,car, anything that won't help me survive, I really don't need it in my life. As long as I have my family that's all I need. "Oh" and of course food and water.

    If the world wasn't so corrupt right now, if it was more peaceful and happiness filled the air instead of anger and hatred. This would make me feel immaculate.

    I know this is late, But I'm just happy I finished the assignment, I completely understand if I receive a zero..
